How to use zip Lists in Python

Hi guys. How are you all? I hope you are all fine. Today in this tutorial we will learn about How to use zip Lists in Python. We can combine two lists in python Here we will do this by some methods. Here I am giving you some methods which will be useful for zipping the lists in a particular way. So in this tutorial, we will learn to zip the lists. So without wasting your time let’s learn about this. I hope this will help you.

How to use zip Lists in Python

  1. Zip Lists in Python

    to use zip Lists in Python just Use zip(). We can zip the lists by using zip() function. Here I am using the zip() function to zip the two lists. So for this method first of all make two lists which are different. Then make the ziplists like the given below and use the zip function to combine both lists. And then print the finallist. It will give the two combined lists. You can see that in the given below output. So without wasting your time let's learn about this. I hope this will help you. list1 = [1,2,3,4,5] list2 = [100, 200, 300, 400, 500] ziplists = zip(list1, list2) FinalList = list(ziplists) print(FinalList) Output : [(1, 100), (2, 200), (3, 300), (4, 400), (5, 500)]

  2. How to make zip Lists in Python

    to use zip Lists in Python just Use for loop with zip(). By using foor loop and zip() function you can zip two lists and combine them. In this method we will learn to zip the lists. For this method take two different lists. And after it use the for loop with both the lists and print them with the use of format() function. OIt will combine two lists. You can that in my output. Here we will get the first element of the first list is combined with the first element of the second list. Thus we can zip two lists. So without wasting your time let's learn about this. list1 = [1,2,3,4,5] list2 = [100, 200, 300, 400, 500] for list1, list2 in zip(list1, list2): print('{}: {}'.format(list1,list2)) Output :
    1: 100 2: 200 3: 300 4: 400 5: 500

Method 1: Use zip()

list1 = [1,2,3,4,5]
list2 = [100, 200, 300, 400, 500]
ziplists = zip(list1, list2)
FinalList = list(ziplists)
print(FinalList)

Output :

[(1, 100), (2, 200), (3, 300), (4, 400), (5, 500)]

Method 2: Use for loop with zip()

By using foor loop and zip() function you can zip two lists and combine them. In this method we will learn to zip the lists. For this method take two different lists. for list1, list2 in zip(list1, list2):
    print('{}: {}'.format(list1,list2))

Output :

1: 100
2: 200
3: 300
4: 400
5: 500
